July 1989: Establishment of Tokyo Financial Planners Co., Ltd. (the origin of Yamada Consulting Group Co., Ltd.) in Otowa, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, as a consultancy for financial planning including training and education of financial planners
January 1992: Establishment of TFP Research Institute Co., Ltd. (currently Yamada Financial Service Co., Ltd.) to launch insurance consulting business
June 1995: Relocation of Tokyo Financial Planners’ head office to Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
November 1997: Establishment of TFP Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (the predecessor of Yamada Business Consulting Co., Ltd.) to launch management, financial and fundraising consulting business
July 1999: Tokyo Financial Planners Co., Ltd. acquired the share of the predecessor company of Yamada Real Estate Consulting Co., Ltd., as a subsidiary, to strengthen and enhance real estate consulting business
January 2000: Establishment of TFP Web Co., Ltd., an information service company utilizing communications system to provide information on asset management for individual and corporate clients
October 2000: Tokyo Financial Planners Co., Ltd. went public on the Osaka Stock Exchange NASDAQ Japan market

October 2001: Establishment of TFP Business Solution Co., Ltd. to launch business to provide consulting services regarding stock market listing and system implementation for growth-oriented corporate clients
April 2002: Launch of Osaka Branch of Yamada Business Consulting Co., Ltd.
October 2002: Change of the company name from Tokyo Financial Planners Co., Ltd. to TFP Consulting Group Co., Ltd. which then became a pure holding company with a transfer of all operations to a newly founded subsidiary, Tokyo Financial Planners Co., Ltd.
June 2004: Launch of Nagoya Branch of Yamada Business Consulting Co., Ltd.
March 2005: Establishment of Yamada MTS Capital Co., Ltd. to launch investment and fund business and creation of Capital Partner No. 2 Investment Limited Partnership (liquidated in July 2013)
April 2007: Establishment of TFP Owner Companies Research Institute Co., Ltd., an intermediate holding company, (the predecessor of Yamada FAS Co., Ltd.) to integrate the management of TFP Web Co., Ltd., TFP Business Solution Co., Ltd. and Owner Companies Research Institute Co., Ltd.
January 2008: Establishment of Capital Solution Co., Ltd. (currently Yamada Investment Co., Ltd.) to form, operate and manage a business succession fund and creation of Capital Solution No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership (liquidated in June 2016)
September 2008: Yamada FAS Co., Ltd. absorbed Owner Companies Research Institute Co., Ltd.
November 2010: Relocation of TFP Consulting Group’s head office to Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
December 2010: Change of the company name from TFP Consulting Group Co., Ltd. to Yamada Consulting Group Co., Ltd.

April 2016: Yamada Business Consulting Co., Ltd. acquired Spire Research and Consulting Pte Ltd., a market research firm based in Asia, as a subsidiary and as a foothold for full-fledged expansion into overseas consulting business
June 2016: Launch of Osaka Branch of Yamada FAS Co., Ltd.
October 2016: Yamada Business Consulting Co., Ltd. founded YBC & Spire (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary in Thailand
April 2017: Launch of Kansai Branch of Yamada Real Estate Consulting Co., Ltd.
April 2017: Establishment of Souzoku Anshin Support Co., Ltd. to expand the business of support services for inheritance procedures
June 2017: Yamada Business Consulting Co., Ltd. founded YBC Capital Co., Ltd., a subsidiary in Thailand
July 2017: Yamada Business Consulting Co., Ltd. absorbed Yamada FAS Co., Ltd.
April 2018: Yamada Consulting Group Co., Ltd. integrated operation of its five subsidiaries (Yamada Business Consulting Co., Ltd., Yamada Real Estate Consulting Co. Ltd., Tokyo Financial Planners Co. Ltd., Yamada Principal Investment Co., Ltd., Konan Real Estate Co. Ltd.), transiting from a pure holding company to an operating holding company
May 2018: Creation of Capital Solution No. 3 Investment Limited Partnership as a business succession fund
June 2018: Establishment of Yamada Consulting & Spire Vietnam Co., Ltd., a subsidiary in Vietnam
October 2018: Establishment of YAMADA Consulting Group USA Inc.
February 2019: Transfer of Yamada Consulting Group's share listing to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
April 2022: Transfer of Yamada Consulting Group's share listing to Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market due to the change of the organization of Tokyo Stock Exchange
April 2023: Plato Consulting Co., Ltd. absorbed Capital Solution Co. Ltd., and changed the company name to Yamada Investment Co., Ltd.
August 2023: Launch of YAMADA Consulting Group Asia Pte Ltd. in Singapore as the regional headquarters for Asia
February 2024: Management integration with Spire to form a new brand "YAMADA Consulting & Spire" for the Asian market (excluding China)
